Background and Description
Hector's House are a professional five piece band specialising in parties of every kind: weddings, civil partnerships; special birthday celebrations; dinner dances and corporate functions.
Hector's House’s greatest attraction is their ability to satisfy and entertain at every level and provide dancing music across the widest range of musical tastes from Frank Sinatra to the Zutons and even to Jimmy Shand. The current line up has been in existence for many successful years and presents a polished, versatile and professional act which is hugely entertaining for those who wish to participate in dancing or simply enjoy the groove.
One of the band's biggest strengths is in the array of instruments and experience of the individual members. This allows them to plays a wide range of music from Jazz Swing, Soul, County and Rock and pop. The line up includes a traditional combo of acoustic and electric guitars, upright and Electric bass, live drums, harmonica and Brass. Vocals and harmonies are spread out within the band.
Hector’s House’s diversity extends to Scottish Country Dancing and Ceilidh music and a set of reels and traditional Scottish dances can be provided if required.
