Background and Description
The Allestri String Quartet are considered to be one of the leading professional string ensembles in Scotland specialising in weddings, recitals, parties, religious occasions, receptions , dinners, and corporate events.
All the Allestri players are conservatory trained professional musicians of the highest calibre, and have many years of experience in playing for weddings and special occasions.
This well established string ensemble has performed at many prestigious venues including Gleneagles Hotel, Cameron House Hotel, The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow, Eilean Donan Castle, Guthrie Castle and Duart Castle , Isle of Mull.
The quartet was privileged to be invited to play for an opening event attended by H.R.H. Princess Anne recently and also appeared at The Scottish Asian Business Awards 2007 held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow. The Allestri String Quartet carries a huge and diverse repertoire from Bach to Bollywood and is one of the few ensembles in the U.K who can offer Bollywood and Klezmer arrangements as part of their play list.
The Allestri String Quartet carries a huge and diverse repertoire from Bach to Bollywood. We would be happy to discuss your requirements and we can arrange virtually any song or piece of music for your event. We recently performed music by ‘The Verve’ and ‘Coldplay’.
As the Allestri players come together from Edinburgh and Argyll we are happy to travel to most areas of Scotland.

We can supply our own PA System (for an additional fee) for events with over 100 guests on request. This consists of 4 mics,2 speakers, 2 speaker stands, 1 mixing desk, 1 monitor. We have an engineer who can set up and check this for us.
